1993 was a great year to be a student with my wife and her friends. My Bama buddy left as soon as the time ran out on the Iron Bowl. I picked up this photo one day in the bookstore and suddenly realized I could see myself at the very bottom. I added the 4 white dots. I'm on the left and you can see a gap on my left where my buddy had been standing. He was one of those strange Auburn students that were Bama football fans.

I was 4 years old in 1974 when I pitched a fit in the store for this Auburn jacket. My Bama Graduate father bought it for me. 35 years later my father admitted Auburn was his first love but it was too far from home so he hitchhiked to school at MTSU and later went to graduate school at Alabama.
